Cambridge content marketing agency CPL is joining forces with another agency, Century One, to form CPL One Group.
The combined team will have around 70 staff, plus freelance support, and will continue to operate from offices in Cambridge Technopark, near Newmarket Road, and St Albans, sharing over 30 successful clients between them.
The companies said their combination will make them stronger in their specialist areas, which include print and digital publishing for the membership and arts sectors, media sales and marketing communications.
The new CPL One group comprises three brands – CPL, Century One and Cabbells – and combined annual revenues are on track to reach £10m.
Century One and Cabbells chief executive Sarah Simpson becomes a shareholder of CPL One as part of the deal and joins the CPL One Group board of directors, which will be led by CPL chief executive Mike Sewell.
“Together, CPL, Century One and Cabbells have the potential to become a major force in the industries where we specialize,” said Sarah. “We share similar philosophies and this move allows us to create a strong and exciting combined platform for future growth.”
Mike added: “I am delighted to welcome Sarah and her team to CPL One Group. In the short term, business will continue as usual as we continue to focus on providing excellent service to our customers.
“In the longer term, we are confident that our employees, as well as our current and future customers, will benefit from the combined group’s shared expertise and experience.”
